After many years of working collaboratively in larger design arenas, Emily felt called to step out and dig-in to refine the way she serves her clients. Her passion to infuse the complex but beautiful layers of one's past, life experiences, and visions for future - defines the philosophical way she approaches spatial design for project- no matter the scale. Each person’s home or business is thoughtfully curated to them, their family or team, and their details that make them uniquely their own.

Emily is a Licensed Architect and certified Interior Designer serving clients in both Virginia and North Carolina. She is a graduate of the Architecture School at Virginia Tech and has 20 years of experience working in New York City, greater Washington DC, Richmond, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Emily, a North Caroline native, currently calls Richmond home with her husband, four teenage children and 2 doggos.

Boldly an animist at heart, Kristin has always been fascinated by the engagement of spacial energetics. It is a primary focus for her in design philosophy, and it’s evident in her work. Ever ready to reimagine the way we interact and thrive within our built spaces, she is dedicated to unlocking an environments utmost potential for beauty, vibe and function.

Kristin enjoys engaging how various elements such as light, color, shape, texture, and positioning influences the flow of energy within a space. Every space possesses a unique energetic signature, capable of significantly impacting our mood, productivity, and overall quality of life.

Kristin, a native New Yorker, exited her 25 year advertising executive tenure to join the Nomad Design team in 2023. She is also a University of Richmond, Certified Interior Decorating professional, with a Communications Bachelors of Science & Fine Arts Minor from Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts.
